Marcia Schecter is a part-time outreach coordinator. She brings Jewish programming to older adults in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Marcia has lived and worked in the Lehigh Valley for many years. She has a master’s degree in social relations, with a concentration in adulthood and aging, and is a registered nurse. Marcia retired a few years ago from her long-time position as a social worker with Northampton County Meals on Wheels, where she evaluated clients’ needs for nutritional or other services. She has also worked as a registered nurse at Good Shepherd Home and Hospital and as a home health aide for Northampton County Visiting Nurses.

Marcia is an active volunteer in the community and in the HELP program at Lehigh Valley Hospital, where she received training to visit hospitalized elders.
